Abstract: Background: Yoga is an ancient Indian science as well as the way of life. Pranayama is a part of yoga, which improves memory in combination of bhramari pranayama, but the aim of our study is to evaluate the effect of only Bhramari pranayama on visual, verbal and auditory memory in healthy individuals. Introduction: Bhramari pranayama improve the memory and other threatening reduces the stress and improves academic performance. The humming bee sound correspondingly with “m” kara chanting mentally results in increased the memory also brings improvement in competitive performance. Further researches of the effects of bhramari pranayama practice should be made because of its beneficial influence on the population of the college students. METHODOLOGY: The study was based on single group pre post designed, which is undergoes bhramari Pranayama on youth for one day immediately effects on memory. So that, the data taken from S-VYASA University under the age of 17 to 30 age. The sample size based on previous study was taken up to 50 participants. RESULT: The result showed significant changes after the bhramari intervention on the students. Actually breath awareness technique helps down the speed of the mind and give relax in that particular mind stress but it may not help for improvement memory level so after the some breath practice the body are settle down in relax and tranquility state but for the enhancement of the memory field the bhramari Pranayama may help for improve the memory, which is proved by these three assessment tools RAVLT scores- pre(10.29±1.54) and post(12.25±1.35***), TMT scores (A)- pre (25.83±6.926) and post (22.00±6.297*** ) & TMT scores (B)- pre-(49.71±18.26) and post (44.42±18.84***) and Forward and Backward scores:- Pre- (19.29±2.346) and post-(18.63±2.060**). CONCLUSION: The importance of Bhramari pranayama on short term visual, verbal and auditory memory among college students is very well understood by this study. The study also inspires the college going students to include the practice of Bhramari pranayama in their schedule, to have a stable memory power and better learning.
